On the morning of October 23, 2024, 25 students from the rehabilitation major of Wenzhou Medical University came to our company to experience brace production, jointly planned by relevant leaders of Taizhou Central Hospital and Taizhou Jiaokang. Brace is also called orthoses. Over the years, sports protection, rehabilitation, sports medicine, orthopedics and other related majors have studied and developed a variety of mechanical treatment methods and techniques such as patches, bandages, braces, and gaskets in order to achieve the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries. The application principles of these technologies follow functional anatomy, biomechanics, the mechanism of sports injuries, and the characteristics of the rehabilitation stage. There are different ways to classify braces. According to different parts, braces can be divided into ankle braces, knee braces, hip braces, shoulder braces, elbow braces, wrist braces, and spinal braces.

Figure 2: Teacher Wang invited a student to act as a model and demonstrated how to make a wrist brace. He also explained some issues that should be paid attention to during the brace making process. Follow the doctor's advice, check the injury, prevent compression, and check regularly.
